I purchased a JBL Charge 2 speaker system that is supposed to run via bluetooth. I can connect via auxiliary cable, but the bluetooth connection between my computer and the speaker wont work. The error I keep getting: 'An error occured initializing this operation.
Try restarting your computer and/or the bluetooth device.' I have tried every combination of restarting both devices. I have exhausted all of the troubleshooting options on my computer and that I have found online. Can anyone please help me get this device to work via bluetooth??? So far, the JBL Charge speakers work great with everything.

Jbl Flip Bluetooth Driver Download
I have a JBL Flip 2 bluetooth speaker connected to my HP Folio 13 Notebook PC, running Windows 7 Home Premium. It is a 64-bit operating system. Although the Flip is clearly connected by bluetooth, it still doesn't show up in my playback devices.
This device used to work with this system (and does work with my other Windows 7 machine), but it I haven't used it in a few weeks with the HP, and I'm wondering if an update messed something up. Any suggestions are really appreciated. Thanks, Minderbinder.
Thanks for your reply JimE. I assume that by 'uninstall the device' you.don't. mean 'Remove the Device' through Devices and Printers.
I did try that, then rebooted and then added the device again with no new effect. I have since tried to disconnect from the device and the Bluetooth Device Control screen hung on Disconnecting several times, but I finally got it to disconnect. During my multiple failed attempts though, I at one point connected the Flip to another computer at the same time - wouldn't assume that is normal behavior. I have looked through the items in Device Manager, but if that is where I'm to uninstall from, it is not clear which item I'm looking for.
Any direction you can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks, Minderbinder. As with most other hardware, not all Bluetooth hardware is equal. I've seen numerous cases where hardware x works fine with one PC(s), and yet doesn't work, or work well with another. There can be numerous causes such as, hardware quality, hardware incompatibility (not all BT devices work with all BT controllers), controller location within the PC, the PC location, and then other factors such as the drivers or other OS/registry type issues. You should be able to uninstall the BT controller in Device Manager, reboot, and Windows should reinstall the drivers. Keramat 2009.
Ensure the latest drivers are installed. They may be newer drivers available direct from the source as opposed to using Windows update.

Hi This is not actually a query but a solution to a problem that I faced. Just posting here in case any of you face a similar issue. I recently got hold of a JBL Flip 3. It has a big sound in a very small package. For those not familiar with the Flip 3, it is one of those portable bluetooth speakers. And if you are hearing it for the first time it is difficult to believe that such a tiny thing can produce such a loud sound.
And it is 'splash-proof' too. However, this is not a review of the Flip 3 though I will be glad to answer any questions that anyone may have. The Flip 3 paired just fine with my phone.
The problem was when trying to pair it with my laptop running Windows 7. Windows immediately recognized it as 'Flip 3' and then looked for the device drivers online. This is where the problem started. The drivers could not be found online.

The device was listed under 'Devices and Printers' but there was no way to actually connect the speakers. A look at the manual that came with the Flip 3 advised referring to JBL website's FAQs for pairing the device with Windows 7 & 8. I did not find anything in the website's FAQ that addressed the issue (but then that may be just me). A google search did not turn up anything helpful either. To cut a long story short, I ultimately managed to connect the Flip 3 to my laptop running Windows 7.
Here is how I did it. Assuming that you have already connected the Flip 3 to the laptop. Click on the Start button (button with Windows logo at bottom left). Then click on 'Devices and Printers'. You will see the Flip 3 listed as one of the devices. Right click on the 'Flip 3' icon and select 'Properties'.
In the window that opens click on the 'Services' tab. There will be about 7 options listed and by default, the last option 'Unknown Service' will be the only one selected. Un-select it (by clicking on it) and select the 'Audio Sink' option. If you want to be able to forward tracks using the buttons on the device then select the 'Remote Control' and 'Remotely Controllable Device' options. Click the 'Apply' option.

Now go to the Flip 3 icon under 'Devices and Printers'. Double click the icon.
A window will open with the option to 'Connect' the device. Click on the 'Connect' button. (PS: You may have to restart Windows for the changes to take effect).
